OpenAI Chat Model

The OpenAI Chat Model node connects to OpenAI's GPT models. On indie.money, this node routes via OpenRouter.

Limitations

  • Routes via OpenRouter — Uses OpenRouter as the backend; requires an OpenRouter API key, not an OpenAI key directly. - No vision/image input — Cannot process images with GPT-4 Vision. - No streaming — Responses are returned in full, not streamed token by token. - Limited model list — Only models available on OpenRouter are accessible.

Recommendation

Use the OpenRouter Chat Model directly for more flexibility and model choice.
