Overview

Rocket.Chat is an open-source team communication platform. Use this node to send messages and manage chat rooms.

Authentication

API Key (User ID + Auth Token) via Secure Vault. Provide your Rocket.Chat server URL, User ID, and Auth Token in the credential configuration modal.

Key parameters:

  • Channel — the channel name or room ID to post to (e.g., #general)
  • Text — the message body (supports markdown)
  • Alias — optional display name override for the message
  • Avatar — optional avatar URL for the message
  • Attachments — optional rich attachments with title, text, and color

Tips

  • The bot user must be a member of the target channel to post messages.
  • Use the #channel-name format or the room ID directly.
