Customizing Agent Variables

Set the variables an agent exposes — like limits, targets, or message text — before you run it.

Customizing Agent Variables

💡 Note:TL;DRSome agents expose variables you can change — such as a row limit, a target URL, or a default message. Open the agent's Variables tab, edit the values, and save before running.

When a Builder publishes an agent, they can mark certain inputs as variables. Variables let you tailor the agent to your needs without editing the agent itself.

Editing Variables

  1. Open your agent from the Producer Dashboard.
  2. Go to the Variables tab.
  3. Change a value — for example, raise a maxResults limit or set a different recipient.
  4. Click Save. The new values apply to every run from that point on.

If an agent has no editable variables, the Variables tab shows an empty state — that agent runs with fixed settings chosen by the Builder.

Notes

  • Variable values are stored per agent instance. Changing them does not affect other Producers running the same agent.
  • Saved values persist across runs until you change them again.
