What Transfers When You Sell Your Workflow

Selling your workflow transfers the whole running instance, including credentials, data, history, budget, and chat URL.

Selling your workflow transfers the whole running instance to the buyer. The buyer receives the same working workflow, and your control ends at transfer.

What transfers

When workflow ownership changes, these move with the workflow NFT:

  • Configured credentials
  • Execution history
  • Remaining budget
  • Chat URL
  • Stored data

From the buyer's view, the workflow keeps the same setup, state and entry points. The budget and credentials transfer with it. The new owner turns the workflow on once; until then every run is refused.

Pre-sale checklist

You do not need to turn the workflow off before you sell it. Before you sell your workflow:

  1. Withdraw any remaining budget you do not want to transfer.
  2. Revoke credentials at each external provider if those credentials must not transfer with the workflow.

If you leave budget, credentials, or stored state in place, they transfer with the workflow.

The budget shown when you list the workflow is not guaranteed until the transfer lands: the seller can still withdraw it, and runs made before the transfer still settle against it.

What buyer and seller should expect

Buyer gets control of the full running workflow instance. Seller loses all control after transfer, including control over workflow settings, chat access, stored data, and future runs.
