Account & Access

How do I get started?

Visit indie.money and click Marketplace. You can start browsing workflows immediately. To run or create workflows, connect your wallet or sign up with email. Questions? Use the messaging widget in the bottom corner.

Do I need a crypto wallet?

No. Email signup and credit card payments work out of the box β€” a wallet is created for you behind the scenes. See the full article for details.

Is browsing free?

Yes. You can browse the marketplace and preview any workflow at no cost. Your own workflows get 300 free tier runs a day. Past that, and for other people's workflows, runs start at $1 per 1,000, funded by credit card or USDC on Base.

How do I delete my account?

StepAction
1.Withdraw any remaining prepaid balance to USDC
2.Contact support via messaging widget with "Delete Account" request
3.We process your deletion request
4.Blockchain records (transactions, NFT ownership) cannot be deleted β€” this is inherent to web3

What currencies are supported?

CurrencyPurpose
πŸƒ Prepaid balanceSpendable run balance (1:1 to USD)
πŸ’΅ USDCFor deposits and withdrawals (Base network)
πŸ’³ Credit cardFor funding balance (via Stripe)

We do not support direct fiat currencies for payments.

For Producers (Running Workflows)

How do I run a workflow?

Browse the marketplace, find a workflow you like, deploy it to your account, and run it. You pay the Builder's run fee plus your actual AI costs.

How much does it cost?

Whatever the Builder charges, plus AI usage if that workflow charges it separately. The listing shows a price range when usage is charged on top, and a single price when it is already included. Pay-as-you-go runs add a flat $0.001 payment-processing fee. You always see the maximum before you run, and unused amounts come back within minutes.

What if I run out of funds?

The execution will fail with a clear error. Top up your balance and retry. We never charge more than the maximum amount shown before execution.

What's the refund policy?

Failed runs refund the unused budget automatically when the run settles (~5 min); for the rare stuck run, Cancel or Reclaim gives an immediate self-service refund. See How Billing Works for the full deposit-deduct-refund cycle.

Can I see what a workflow does before buying?

Yes. Every workflow shows the automation nodes it contains, supported integrations, and pricing before you deploy.

How does billing work?

A deposit-deduct-refund cycle. You authorize the max cost upfront, pay only for what's used, and get the rest back within minutes.

For Builders (Building Workflows)

How do I create a workflow?

Author in n8n, export the JSON, and import it here. There is no editor on this side. Set your price and publish.

How do Builders get paid?

You earn the run fee you set. If buyers pay AI usage, that is extra on top (or already included in your price). Payments settle within a few minutes. When you cash earnings out to USDC, a 10% fee applies ($10 minimum).

What nodes can I use?

370+ nodes are currently supported, including triggers, logic, data transformation, flow control, and AI integration via OpenRouter. Check the Supported Nodes article for the full list.

Platform & Security

Is this legal?

Yes. indie.money is not subject to n8n's Sustainable Use License. You build it with n8n; we run the workflow on our own engine. The License governs n8n's own software β€” not indie.money, and not the workflows you upload here. indie.money is an independent marketplace and is not affiliated with n8n GmbH β€” we don't ship, host, or resell n8n. See Is my n8n workflow compatible? Is this legal? for the full answer.

Are my credentials safe?

Yes. Your API keys are encrypted in the Secure Vault and never visible to us, Builders, or the execution engine. See the Credentials System Deep Dive for the full security model.

How do I report abuse or violations?

To report policy violations, security issues, or abuse:

  1. Use the messaging widget with subject "Report: [Issue Type]"
  2. Include details: workflow ID, behavior description, and evidence
  3. We investigate and take action as needed

Reportable issues:

  • Malicious workflows (stealing data, excessive costs)
  • IP theft (copied workflows without permission)
  • Security vulnerabilities
  • Terms of service violations

What happens if something breaks?

Builders own and fix their workflows. You only pay for successful work. See What if a workflow breaks? for the full quality control system.

How do I get help?

Use the messaging widget in the bottom corner of any page. We typically respond within a few hours.

What happens during platform downtime?

In rare downtime:

  • Webhook triggers β€” Queued and delivered when service resumes
  • Executions in progress β€” Continue running or fail gracefully
  • New executions β€” Temporarily paused with clear error message
  • Status updates β€” Posted at status.indie.money

Is there a rate limit?

Fair use limits prevent abuse. Exceeding limits returns HTTP 429. Contact support if you need higher limits for legitimate use.

How long are execution logs kept?

  • Execution logs: 30 days

Logs contain timestamps, workflow IDs, costs, and error details. No sensitive credential data is logged.
